With joy, gratitude and a spirit of communion, the “Mother Clelia” Province of Italy of the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus celebrated the Eucharistic Celebration for the installation of the new Provincial Superior, Sr. Lucia Giussani, and the new Provincial Council.
Following a period of discernment, prayer and listening, the new Provincial Government begins its service for the 2026-2030 term, called to accompany the communities and the mission of the Apostles in Italy along the path traced by Mother Clelia.
The Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr. Giovanni Battista Magoni, Rector of Editrice Àncora, was a profound moment of prayer and communion. During his homily, Fr. Giovanni Battista offered a meaningful reflection on service to the Province, recalling the value of responsibility lived as a gift, availability and care for the Sisters and the mission entrusted to them.
A light that continues to shine
At the beginning of the Celebration, accompanied by the Sanctuary Choir under the direction of Sr. Paola De Venezia, a particularly meaningful gesture took place.
The outgoing Provincial Superior, Sr. Leda, handed a lighted lamp to the new Provincial Superior, Sr. Lucia.
A simple gesture, yet rich in meaning: the light continues to shine as responsibility for the mission passes into new hands and a new heart. It is the sign of a story that continues, in which people and responsibilities change, while the same charism, the same mission and the desire to serve the Lord and others remain.
Gratitude for the journey
At the conclusion of the Celebration, the Superior General, Mother Miriam Cunha Sobrinha, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Sr. Leda and the outgoing Council, composed of Sr. Caterina, Sr. Paola, Sr. Marta, Sr. Colette and Sr. Gemma, for the journey they shared, their dedication, availability and loving service to the Religious Family.
Mother Miriam then offered her best wishes to Sr. Lucia and the new Council, entrusting them with the responsibility of continuing the journey of the Province with faith, courage and a spirit of communion: “Thank you to those who have served, and welcome to those who now continue the journey.”
These words express gratitude for all that has been built and, at the same time, the trust with which the Congregation looks toward the future.

The new Government of the Mother Clelia Province of Italy is composed of:

The Congregation thanks each of them for the generous availability with which they have accepted this mission of service and leadership.
To assume responsibility in the life of the Congregation means placing oneself once again at the service of the Sisters, the communities and the mission, with a willingness to listen, discern and walk together.
For this new four-year term, we entrust Sr. Lucia and all the Sisters called to this service to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, asking Him to accompany them with wisdom, strength and a spirit of communion.
Along the path opened by Mother Clelia, a new stage now begins, in continuity with the same vocation and the same mission. One mission, one heart, one desire: to serve and love as Jesus did.
